General Information

TOFA-18 is a tall oil fatty acid containing a high percentage of C18 monounsaturated fatty acids. It can be used as a replacement for animal oleic acid; derivative products perform similarly to oleic-based derivatives and lack rancidity problems. Other applications include esters, imidazolines and specialty soaps. TOFA-18 is also used by fuel blenders.
